Some frequently asked questions about WOTA London.

Q. What is "WOTA"?

An abbreviation of the word "Otaku" (the Japanese word for 'geek' or 'obsessive'). But it has a more underground feel and is often used for someone who has a particular liking for something, e.g. CarWOTA, AnimeWOTA, IdolWOTA etc.

Q. What sort of music will be played at the event?

Anything related to Anime or Otaku culture. From new & classic Anime themes to Doujin music such as Touhou arrange & Vocaloid .

Just like there are many different types of Anime or game about, there will be variety of music from dance to rock or pop played on the floor. However, because this is a club event, you will likely to hear more of tunes that you can dance to!

There will also be a variety of DJs who are strong on Dance, Rock, Pop, J-Core, etc.. at the event, together with Visual Jockey. Latest music recommendations & DJ's re-mixes are up on this website. So check them while getting ready for the party!

Q. Do I have to Cosplay ?

No, you can wear your everyday outfit. However it would be more fun at the event if you were in costume!

Q. Can I come even if I'm under 18?

Sorry, as it's at a nightclub, this event is for over 18's only. You may be asked for ID, so please do not forget to bring your ID on the day.

Since this is a dance party, the distance between people is likely to be very close. So please don't bring props/replica weapons or anything which could soil someone's clothes (e.g. fake blood).
